Overview

The positions operate in a dynamic and deadline driven environment and are well suited to those with excellent processing skills and a positive, ‘can do” demeanor. The candidate must also be willing to work flexible and varying shifts through the year and also must react positively and effectively to needs of handling volume spikes (usually at quarter & Year ends)

Responsibilities

Submission review – Checking for completeness of data submitted by underwriters/ brokers and following-up with underwriters (as required)
Experience in Underwriting Support work types like Endorsements, Policy Issuance, Policy Maintenance, Quote and Pre Renewal
Handling day to day team related activities
Client interactions via trainings, conference calls, emails and messenger service.
Manage MIS activities and look after the process
Work towards driving operational improvements and initiatives

 

Qualifications And Experience

Graduate in any stream
Proven experience in Underwriting function preferably in UK market
Insurance/ Reinsurance Proven experience
Experience in UW especially Commercial Lines of business preferred
Lean/Six Sigma awareness

 

Knowledge

Good Communication Skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Excellent analytical ability!
High level attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated delivery of high quality output.
Ability to work in a changing environment
Ability to build relationships with internal customers in Genpact and very importantly with client – must be seen as a proactive, helpful team player
High customer service orientation.
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to respond to stretch situations of volume spikes as and when the need arises
